Talking about age

Here we are, I’m 27 years old, going 30… like many people I know. You’ll tell me I still have 3 years ahead but anyway we’re going old. It’s funny how you don’t notice but you’re going older & older, time is going on you can’t stop it. Before I did not understand people wondering about their age and so on & so on, now I just can understand. The fact is that nobody warns you, you just have to experience it. When I was a little girl and my mother and her sisters or friends we’re talking about 70’s it seemed another world for me, they were talking about old people stuff. When people said they were 30 for me they were old. Now that’s my turn, when I meet kids and say my age they think I’m old, but from my point of view it’s not so old :+)
30’s are the age were you’re starting wondering about age, the marriage, the children, the career, the house, the nice car… all those things that seemed so far. Apparently 40’s are worse but anyway. Things are changing, the whole world is changing, going forward : we’re living in the internet 2.0 area now, everything is at reach, agriculture is changing, we’re talking about OGM, we’re looking for other places to live, the poles are heating, we have to wonder about how our children & grand children & grand grand children are going to live or should I say are going to survive… this is a very interesting period of time but I guess people living in other ages thought the same.

Here we are: I've decided to create my own blog in this area of web 2.0. This is THE THING now, everybody is talking about it, this new internet based on sharing, using a a set selected technologies. This new internet will provide us applications supposed to allow us share ideas, tips, feelings, hobbies... whatever we want. So my idea here is to share my points of views on the world we live in, its evolution, the arts, the travels, the books, the changes... I just want to exchange ideas with people on What's up in the world. However you live in Australia, in Africa, in North Pole, internet allow us to share. This is the greatest thing ever!

So Let's share because we worh it! :+)

My Prague June 2006

prague_cal_che

Prague was my first time in an European eastern country. I went there for a conference linked to my job. What about my surprise to discover this city ! I have a friend from there, Pavel who kept telling me that it was the most beautiful city in the world, I wouldn't say so but it's one of the most beautiful ones without contest. Indeed, this city is full of history, old buildings and bridges, cathedrals, towers, statues, night clubs... It's really special. You can go to Prague with friends and you'll enjoy it, with your lover you'll enjoy the romantic part of the city, alone you'll enjoy. One of the best spots in Europe.

Life is not expensive even though tourists have a higher price than local people. Before going to Prague book your hetel easily through Venerere. It's quite a good hotel reservation website, with reasonnable proces. Hotel Tieppolo is a very nice hotel not far from the city center (around 55€/nite). By tram you're 10 mins from downtown. Near that hotel you have a very nice parj with a wonderful view of Prague city.

What do to & see in Prague

During my staying there just walking in the street was an amazement! There is a strong impression of being in a fairy tale. I've visited the Prague Castle, Notre Dame de Tyn Cathedral, the Jewish town with its Cemetery and Synagogue. The Charles IV bridge, the astronomic clock, the Old town place (Staromestske namesti), Celetna street, the Powder tower all those are really nice spot to see in Prague. Just take a look at the Czech office of Tourism and Lonely Planet.

How to go to Prague

Those last years, Europe is just more reachable. Indeed with companies such as Skyeurope a flight ticket from Paris to Prague is 150€ (return).

January a cool month

The end of laster year was a bit overwhelming. Indeed in 3 months I've changed Town, Job, Appartment, Environement, and rythm. The new year is just great now. I've finished almost all my "duties" and time is there to enjoy now. I'm really excited about my new job and my new life. Everything is just perfect!
